Interview (controlled by the BCS)

EPA Interview Process (30 working days)

Within 10-15 working days of receiving the synoptic project, the BCS will organise an EPA interview date and time with the apprentice.

The interview date will be within 15 -20 working days of agreeing the date

The interview will be between 60 and 9 minutes in length

You should arrange for:

• the interview to take place in a quite room where you will be undisturbed
• headphones, microphone and a computer to be available for the Skype call
• your folder (as returned to you from the college) to be available for you to refer to

The purpose of the interview is to:

• confirm that you present yourself as a competent apprentice
• discuss what you have learnt and achieved during the apprenticeship
• explore any areas that the BCS assessor needs reassurance about
• confirm the BCS assessor's opinion about the grade to be awarded
• fill in any gaps in the portfolio, project or employer reference that suggest a criteria has not been met
